We spent a few nights in Ostuni, followed by week at a villa nestled in the quiet countryside, just a short drive from the town. The days were defined by an abundance of fresh, seasonal produce and sweeping views of olive groves and whitewashed streets. Visiting in June meant temperatures soared to 40°C (104°F) — beautiful, but intense. Next time, we would choose the gentler months of spring or early autumn. One of the highlights: a simple, unassuming pizzeria in Ostuni — Impasto Napoletano — where we returned more than once for what might be the best pizza we’ve ever had. Much of our time was spent by the pool, enjoying the surroundings and taking photos.
